A colourful world is like a multi-coloured windmill that spins round and round, and round and round. A colourful world is the place you and I are in. The place where life is never dull and boring...

Singapore Ga-Ga

“How deep can a 19 year old be?”

P002.JPG

This photo was specially “choreographed” by me and the post is being filed in Passionate. Why so? Brennan, 19, male, a Ngee Ann Polytechnic Engineering student. Though young, he has so much in him that even I, am fascinated with. This photo is in salute to him and as a benchmark for his sweet 19! Way to go, Bren!

So why are we at The Arts House? We were there to catch a film – Singapore Ga-Ga.Singapore Ga-Ga is one of the most controversial short film about Singapore that I have seen in these few years. The film really tugged at my heart strings and the way it was filmed, mirrored each subject seamlessly, e.g.: learning recorder as a musical instrument versus harmonica? The recognition of our talented Singaporeans? How about those who are less abled but strong willed? Did you ever slow down your footsteps and take a moment or perhaps 4′33″ to listen?

Singapore Ga-Ga showcases a lot of Singapore flavours that are diminishing together with today’s modern world. The film centres on 1 theme: Sounds….voices…of Singapore. Listen to the show, don’t watch it! You will realise something that you never did. I did. Kudos to Tan Pin Pin, the director and I am definitely awaiting the dvd to be out.
