A colourful world is like a multi-coloured windmill that spins round and round, and round and round. A colourful world is the place you and I are in. The place where life is never dull and boring...

“It’s wide, clear, vast, llllloooooonnnnnnngggggggg…..”

N012.jpg

How can anyone bear to destroy an island like this? The moment I step onto Bali, one of the many Indonesia islands, I fell in love. Not with the company I was with but with the vast, clean sandy beach! It’s almost breath-killing (a worse version than breath-taking)!

This is the best I can capture with my digital camera. I think a wide-angle lens will defintely be a much better choice! Argh! Look at the succession of the waves! The white washes, the horizon…there’s absolutely nothing but the sand, sea and sky! It’s a perfect spot for surfing, which most people enjoyed here and I kinda dabbled in it…but otherwise, it will be just fine just to take a walk along this long sandy beach and admire the wonderful works of nature!

“大风吹,吹什么?吹椰树…”

N011.jpg

4 friends, a car, some convenient BBQ food, a pit, a happening park…what’s unwelcomed? A BIG STORM. Just as we were about to start our impromptu BBQ at East Coast Park this very day, the weather couldn’t agree with us in at least 1 way – VERY BAD WEATHER!

The wind was very strong, the tides were high and rough, the sky was dark…you will hear wails and ouches from the hitting of sand on human flesh. The same goes to the coconut trees: “Ouch, help! We are breaking our backs and losing our hair!!!”

“Bukit Panjang = Long Hill”

N010.jpg

How many people know exactly where Bukit Panjang is? Apart from the media explosion on Singapore’s 1st LRT (which by the way, is at Bukit Panjang), what else would you have known of this little town? Although it is situated in the north-west of Singapore but this little town is very accessible by bus via town and other places.

One thing you will never know about this little town, if you have never set foot on it during sunset, is that it has very pretty tree shadows falling onto the roads during sunset! This was taken unexpectedly one day while on my way home. Bukit Panjang sure lives up to its name of a hill….

Far And Beyond…

“Up above on the hills, stand the cable point, behind the cable point was the sunset.”

N009.jpg

I definitely think I will prefer sunrise than sunset! But due to my sleeping pattern, somehow I managed to take more photos on sunset than sunrise. Hahah…These cable points always fascinate me. In our world of underground cables, above-ground cables are really passe. In every countries I may visit, I always make it a point to capture the images of the above-ground cables as they appear really majestic and “noble” (to be supplying electricity to everyone). This was taken in Malaysia. With such a sunset as background, doesn’t it depict a feeling of far and beyond…?

Toilet Break Sunset

“The toilet was smelly…with houseflies buzzing around…but not the view…”

N008.jpg

While on my way back to Singapore from Malaysia, the bus stopped for a mini toilet break. Being a toilet-goer, I have to get off the bus and pay Mr. Toilet a visit. The toilet was wet and there’s houseflies buzzing around. Not a pleasant moment.

When i stepped out of the toilet, I realised the sun was setting. Why didn’t I realise it before? I looked at the sunset, mesmerised by it…and then snap a photo of it before I continue on my way home….
