“Do.Re.Mi.Mi.Re.Do….Tall.Mid.Short.Short.Mid.Tall…”

If you happen to pass by Sentosa, try to locate where this is? If memory serves me correctly, this particular scene should be taken off Siloso Beach. It’s very interesting in a sense the way the trees are aligned. Wonder if they were deliberately planted this way, according to their height? But this is definitely an interesting photo.

“Do you still remember your Geography’s teacher saying stuff like: tea plantations, irrigations, meanders….I do…”

The 1st time I ever saw a tea plantation! This photo shows the large BOH Tea plantation on Cameron Highlands. It was drizzling and it’s a holiday so we did not manage to sip a cuppa at the plantation. Nevertheless, I had a big eye-opener when our tour guide managed to stop over at the road and allow us to marvel at the vast greenery. The sight of such huge piece of green is really a big wow despite the bad weather!
Looking at it, reminds me of a Hong Kong Drama called: 茶是故乡浓 where the whole story revolves around life and love in a tea plantation. Not only that, I remembered my Geography teacher’s teachings – meanders, tea plantations, irrigations…mmm…

“One should always soar high and look far….”

It was a bright sunny afternoon. The sky was quite clear. I was enjoying the seabreeze on the bumboat while on my way to Pulau Ubin. I was standing on the back landing deck of the bumboat with my digital camera, ready to capture any nice composites. As I looked up into the sky, there’s is this XXXgull that just happened to fly by…The camera was aimed at it and snapped right at the moment it flaps its wings! This photo is very inspiring to me. It represents freedom, vastness…a surge of positive energy…How I wish the XXXgull knew how it had made my day meaningful even till now.

“The water was so clear….Any clearer, you will not see it (water)…”

This photo is courtesy from my friend, Grace. She is an air stewardess with SIA and on 1 of her trip to Maldives, she managed to capture the clarity and the beauty of the Maldives water. It was so clear that at low seabed level, you can actually see and photograph a stingray so clearly and sharply.
Maldives has been my most favourite to-discover spot ever since secondary school days. It was sparked off when I accidentally picked up a Maldives photography book at the rubbish chute beneath my then Teck Whye flat. The photos are so captivating and the book is my most precious!!! I have yet to fulfill this dream of mine. I most definitely hope that I will really be able to be there to experience the beauty of it all!

Loss Of A Dog’s Dignity

“Woof Wof Wof Woff Woofffff…”

Xiaobai (aka little white), my 1st and only pet dog. He was given to my mum by an auntie friend whose daughter-in-law was about to give birth. Xiaobai, name given cos of his white coat of fur, grew very attached to me the very 1st day he saw me. >.-
He actually had a coat of long white hair which I realised, aren’t healthy at all. What do you when you realise you have split ends? You cut them away so that a healthier or nicer batch will grow, rite?! This is exactly what happen to my poor dog.
Being a small male dog with a huge ego, shaving (note: not trimming) away his coat of white fur was a blow to him but its all for his good. Whimpy as he may seem in this photo, he kinda got over this matter pretty fast and embracing the cooler “state” he is in.
Xiaobai is no longer with my family (due to the evil plot of “Cruella Devil” aka my mum). I had him for almost a year. The last I saw him, he had a bodiful of nicely-groomed white hair…
