The Proposal, My Proposal?
Published by eGal | Filed under Leisure
There’s going to be a new movie up on cinema screens this week! And it’s definitely not a movie to be missed…Reading the synopsis of the movie and watching its trailer, I couldn’t help but think that I may be Sandra Bullock in the movies! hahahah…it’s not too bad an idea actually.
Well, I am a big fan of Sandra Bullock ever since I don’t know when and Ryan Reynolds after seeing him in “Definitely, Maybe“. But I will say “The Proposal” is gonna be such a watcher! Let me tell you why?
- The movie is star-studded – yeah, cos both of my favourite stars are on it plus Betty White.
- The movie is cruel - a career-minded woman (probably abit like me), Sandra Bullock, can’t get to stay at her work because of her expiring visa. cruel!
- The move is cute – a cute pairing, its like a sister-brother pairing between the 2 and you will Sandra Bullock being the man while Ryan Renolds, the woman.
- The movie is sweet – how all fairy tale should ends…happily ever after.
- The movie is romantic – how a “contractual love” eventually blossoms
- The movie is teary – ah…when family comes in, the whole lot of warmth
- The move is… – oh wait! I shall say no more! Watch it and you tell me!
The Proposal opens in cinemas 20 August 2009

Pick-Up Lines for Use on MRT and Buses
Published by eGal | Filed under Day To Day, Leisure
I am a fan of 8-Days. Every week, I will religiously get my copy of 8-Days and the 1st 2 pages that I will flip to are the LAST 2 pages of the magazine – Last Page by Colin Goh and First Person by Jason Hahn
The articles on the above 2 pages can really garner a laugh from me. This week, the last page from Colin Goh is really cool! I laughed it right out on the MRT – Pick-Up Lines for Use on MRT and Buses…
I have a good friend who at times, will sms me in the morning when he’s stuck in that ever-so-crowded MRT. I bet there’s something for the single him to do now, like what Colin says: “…start buaya-ing on buses and MRTs and make your more expensive ride more productive?”

Donate Your Teeth So That They Can See
Published by eGal | Filed under Day To Day, Life
I went for a tooth extraction today. It must have been almost 20 years since my last extraction. I can never forget how my grandmum did it with a string and a door. Alright, let’s not go there. Well, the nurse asked during my extraction today if I wanted to take my tooth back and I said yes. Of course, must have it back as a keepsake! But something interesting happened when the dentist, after extracting my tooth , asked: “WOULD YOU LIKE TO DONATE YOUR TOOTH?”

My 1st Birthday Pressie
Published by eGal | Filed under Day To Day
It’s always exciting when my birthday nears although there’s this dark side of me that is always imagining what if…what is no one remembers?! mmm…anyway, I am getting my 1st birthday pressie! And it’s from my best friend…and it’s also something that I have been procrastinating for a long time! So what exactly is that…

Jane Austen

Jane Austen…a great writer of her times, whom I didn’t knew of until recent years. I have been meaning to watch the movie “The Jane Austen Book Club”, released in 2007, I finally had the time. In the short 105 mins, I learnt that Jane Austen has written 6 novels in her life…
click on the novel titles for more details
- Sense and Sensibility (1811)

- Mansfield Park (1814)
